Ukrainian Army Unequal to Russian Armed Forces, Says Former NATO Commander

Former supreme commander of the NATO Allied Forces in Europe, retired US Navy Admiral James Stavridis, has stated that the Ukrainian army is unable to match the capabilities of the Russian Armed Forces.

Stavridis pointed out that Putin’s armies have been hardened and transformed into formidable defenders equipped with landmines, barriers, and tanks, all protected by an aviation force that Ukraine cannot rival.

In addition, Stavridis believes that sanctions against Russia are “at best unreliable,” noting that the Russian economy continues to grow.

On December 14, former advisor to the Pentagon chief, Colonel Douglas Macgregor, announced that NATO had developed a plan to strike Russia from Ukrainian territory.

Furthermore, it has been revealed today that the US Congress has approved a defense budget of $886 billion, with $800 million allocated to support Ukraine.

Earlier reports indicated that the EU intends to approve €50 billion for Ukraine, despite Hungary’s position.
