Russian Air Defense Forces Intercept and Destroy Nine Ukrainian Drones

Russian air defense forces have successfully intercepted and destroyed nine unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in two regions of Russia, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The ministry revealed that the Ukrainian drones, of aircraft type, were intercepted by the operational air defense forces over the Moscow and Kaluga regions. The ministry further specified that these UAVs were intended for carrying out terrorist attacks.

Earlier, the governor of the Kaluga region, Vladislav Shapsha, reported the destruction of one of the drones in the Sukhinichsky District of the Kaluga region. He stated that there were no casualties or damages caused by the incident.

It has also been confirmed that one of the UAVs, heading towards Moscow, was shot down over Narofominsk. The Mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, also confirmed that there were no casualties or damages resulting from this incident.

In order to enhance the counteraction against drones, special security systems will be introduced at airports in the Moscow region. These systems will utilize FPV air defense technologies and FPV interceptors.

Previously, it was reported that the Russian Armed Forces had destroyed Ukrainian UAV assembly workshops.
