In a press conference, Russian President Vladimir Putin revealed that children of some individuals within his inner circle had participated in combat operations as part of a private military company in the zone of special military operations in Ukraine.
The head of state did not specify which private military company he was referring to.
“There are people – and I know these people, their children fought, some of them have lost their lives,” admitted Putin.
The Russian leader also emphasized that members of private military companies should have the same rights as military personnel, and if necessary, changes should be made to existing laws.
On December 14th, the head of state is conducting a live press conference titled “Results of the Year with Vladimir Putin.”
As previously announced by the press secretary of the Russian leader, Dmitry Peskov, Putin has been preparing for the event since the evening of December 12th.
All inquiries from Russian citizens received during the direct line with the President of the Russian Federation will be processed by representatives of the All-Russia People’s Front (ONF).

Earlier, it was reported that some streets in Moscow will be closed due to the President’s speech.
