Three thermal power stations (TPS) in different regions of Ukraine have been damaged as a result of shelling, according to a statement from the energy company “Ukrenergo” on their Telegram channel.
“In the east, one of the thermal power plants has once again been shelled, causing equipment damage. Due to the damage caused by shelling and adverse weather conditions, two TPS in the southern and western regions have stopped supplying electricity,” the statement said.
The company also noted that three energy units at TPS in various regions of the country have been put on emergency repair mode. Additionally, solar panels have practically stopped producing energy due to cloudy weather. It is reported that 454 settlements are left without electricity. The attacks have also affected power grids in the Kharkiv region and the territories controlled by the Ukrainian government in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and the Kherson region.
On December 13, explosions were reported in Odessa, located in southern Ukraine.
Today, the head of the regional military administration subordinate to Ukraine, Alexander Prokudin, announced that a critical facility has been damaged in the part of the Kherson region controlled by Kiev.
