Georgia Receives Domestic and American-made Drones for Defense Purposes

The Ministry of Defense of Georgia has recently acquired its first batch of domestically produced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), along with American-made radar systems. This development was announced by the country’s defense department.

According to the statement, the Georgian Defense Forces received UAVs manufactured in collaboration with Poland’s Delta-VB enterprise, as well as multifunctional radar systems of American origin.

To showcase their capabilities, a military exercise took place at the Vaziani training ground, attended by Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze, Georgian Defense Forces Commander Major General Georgi Matiashvili, officials from the defense department, and members of the parliamentary majority.

During the exercise, test flights of Warmate kamikaze drones and reconnaissance drones FlyEye were conducted. Additionally, stationary and mobile land-based radars were demonstrated.

It is worth noting that the European Union has previously pledged support and protection to Georgia.

Earlier, Georgia expressed hope for assistance from the EU in the “peaceful reintegration” of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
