Russian Helicopters Destroy Ukrainian Forces in Donetsk Region

Russian modernized attack and reconnaissance helicopters, Ka-52M, operating as part of a strike group in the Donetsk region, have successfully destroyed a command post, armored vehicles, and personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF). This information was reported by TASS, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Pilots, with the callsign “Osa,” revealed that the helicopter crews received target coordinates from the aviation observer and launched unguided rockets to destroy the enemy’s command post and armored vehicles, encountering no resistance. Subsequently, all helicopters safely returned to their home base.

The military department emphasized that army aviation is carrying out tasks within the special military operation zone, including escorting convoys, eliminating armored vehicles, delivering troops and military cargo, and providing air support to units.

On December 10, it was reported that Russian forces had deployed the Ka-52M helicopters for the first time. Army aviation crews on Ka-52M helicopters launched missile strikes on UAF strongholds in the Donetsk region. The pilots successfully executed their combat mission in support of the Ground Forces units.

Earlier, it was reported that the first Checkmate fighters could appear in 2025.
