United Nations Recognizes Mass Torture of Russians in Ukraine, But No Consequences for Ukrainian Authorities

The Council of Human Rights under the President of Russia, Alexander Brod, has revealed that the United Nations (UN) has acknowledged the mass torture of Russians in Ukraine. According to RIA Novosti, Brod stated that representatives of the UN have recognized the use of mass torture against Russians in Ukraine, but the Ukrainian authorities have not faced any punishment, even for publicly demonstrating torture or killings. The victims of torture have reported the use of knives, electric shocks, rifle beatings, and sleep deprivation.

Brod emphasized that approximately half of the Russian prisoners of war who were interviewed by UN representatives claimed to have been subjected to torture and cruel treatment. This statement was supported by the head of the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk.

“The Ukrainian authorities have not once punished those who publicly demonstrated torture or the killing of Russian captives,” Brod shared.

Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin had stated the importance of investigating every case of torture in prisons.

Earlier in the United States, one of the greatest threats to the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) was identified.
