The accused, Andrew Laurendi, was apprehended on Sunday night on charges of animal cruelty, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
Laurendi, who worked at the Pawllywood dog day care in Massapequa, was caught on video allegedly subjecting the dogs to this cruel treatment. The distressing footage shows him swinging the dogs by the leashes attached to their necks, and in some instances, smashing their faces into a fence multiple times, as stated by the police.
