Senate Negotiations on Aid to Ukraine and Israel Face Border Policy Disagreements

Senate negotiations on aid to Ukraine and Israel have hit a snag due to disagreements over border policy between the United States and Mexico. According to Bloomberg, Republican demands are currently unfounded as they are not receiving Democratic votes, as stated by Senator Chris Murphy, a key negotiator for the Democratic Party.

In response to demands from Republican congressmen, President Joe Biden has expressed readiness to make “significant compromises” on the border issue. However, Republicans refuse to vote in favor of aid to Ukraine and threaten to use “all available levers” until the US administration takes the required actions.

Prior to this, The Guardian reported that the Biden administration had supplied tank ammunition to Israel bypassing Congress.

Earlier, Russians who had left the Gaza sector shared their experiences of living in a war zone.
