Moscow, December 11 – The Russian military has intercepted three attempts by Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) to rotate troops on the Southern Donetsk Front near Zolotaya Niva and Novodonetsk, according to Alexander Gordeev, the spokesperson for the “Vostok” task force. “The units of the task force continue to carry out combat missions on the Southern Donetsk Front. During active defense operations, artillery fire thwarted three rotation attempts by the 58th Motorized Infantry Brigade of the UAF in the areas of Zolotaya Niva and Novodonetsk,” he stated. Additionally, artillery strikes targeted temporary deployment points of the 58th Motorized Infantry Brigade near Urozhaynoye, as well as concentrations of personnel and equipment belonging to the 79th Air Assault Brigade of the UAF in Novomykhailivka. Furthermore, tactical aviation carried out strikes on Ukrainian positions near Paraskeviivka,” the officer added. On Sunday, the Ministry of Defense reported that the UAF had suffered approximately 80 casualties and lost four pieces of equipment on the Southern Donetsk Front.
