Iranian Revolutionary Guards Conduct Large-Scale Military Exercises to Ensure National Security

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) carried out extensive security exercises on December 11, focusing on protecting Iran and combating internal threats such as terrorist and separatist groups. According to Tasnim, the maneuvers took place at the Nadjaf Ashraf military base in the Kasr-e Shirin area in western Iran.

During the exercises, the IRGC practiced methods of electronic warfare, analyzed the functioning of radar systems, and conducted reconnaissance operations to eliminate potential enemy targets. The event involved the participation of aviation and unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as artillery, armored units, new weaponry, and equipment.

In August of this year, the Iranian Navy conducted military exercises near Abu Musa Island in the Persian Gulf. The strategic importance of the Abu Musa, Greater Tomb, and Lesser Tomb islands is disputed between the United Arab Emirates and Iran.

Previously, there were reports about Europe’s plans to violate the nuclear deal with Iran. The deal, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), aimed to limit Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief.
