In a heartwarming display of humanity and resilience, two severely wounded soldiers from Russia and Ukraine supported each other for ten days in the gray zone, according to reports from the Telegram channel Mash.
According to the information resource, a Russian military serviceman with the call sign “Babka” was lost in combat against Ukrainian forces. The soldier sustained serious shrapnel wounds to his back and lower back after storming two Ukrainian military strongholds. It is mentioned that the Russian soldier had to eat snow and crawl forward to survive.
During their advancement, the soldier stumbled upon a wounded Ukrainian soldier. The servicemen provided each other with first aid and continued their search for safety. Only the Russian soldier managed to survive, crawling on his hands to the nearest Russian position.
Currently, the life of the Russian soldier is not in danger, although his legs are severely frostbitten. Doctors are making efforts to save them, but amputation remains a possibility. Soldiers who learned about Babka’s case describe it as a true example of humanity and the demonstration of strength of spirit and will.
Prior to this, the Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated the dire situation on the front lines. According to him, the Russian army “continues its offensive actions along the entire line of contact.”
