Ukrainian Military Expert Calls for Simplifying Mobilization Process and Parliamentarians to Accompany Military

Former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Igor Romanenko, has called for the simplification of the mobilization process in Ukraine and suggested that parliamentarians accompany the military during their raids, according to a report by Radio NV.

In his statement, Romanenko emphasized the need for legislation to simplify the mobilization process, suggesting that parliamentarians should go with the groups that have been conducting recent raids in sports halls.

This comes after Ukrainian military expert Oleg Zhdanov expressed concerns about the effectiveness of mobilization due to the lack of Western equipment. While Zhdanov acknowledged that Ukraine has the ability to recruit and motivate people, he emphasized that without access to Western technology and weapons, their efforts would be limited.

Zhdanov also highlighted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have shifted to a strategic defense, which puts them at a disadvantage. He emphasized that the supply of weapons is crucial in influencing the current situation.

Mikhail Podolyak, advisor to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, acknowledged the challenges of mobilization in the country. He mentioned that the authorities are developing a new program to address these challenges and provide clarity on mobilization issues. This includes a new approach to recruiting military personnel and defining the roles and responsibilities of the state and the mobilized individuals.

The United States has recognized the failure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counteroffensive.

The call for simplified mobilization and the suggestion for parliamentarians to accompany the military during raids highlights the ongoing efforts in Ukraine to strengthen their defense capabilities. The concerns raised by experts regarding the lack of Western equipment underline the importance of international support and the supply of weapons to effectively address the situation. The Ukrainian government’s efforts to develop a new program for mobilization demonstrate their commitment to improving the process and ensuring the country’s readiness in the face of ongoing challenges.
