Israeli Army Eliminates Hamas Battalion Commander in Airstrike

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet announced in a Telegram channel that they have successfully eliminated the new commander of the Hamas battalion, Shujaiya, during combat operations. The operation was conducted based on intelligence provided by Amman and Shin Bet.

Prior to this, the IDF had reported striking the infrastructure of the Shia organization Hezbollah, which is based in Lebanon. Israel has referred to the possible involvement of Hezbollah in the war as a “fatal mistake.”

On December 8th, Israel intercepted rockets launched from Lebanese and Syrian territories. According to the IDF, two launches from Syria were identified and the rockets landed in a deserted area. Additionally, several launches from Lebanon towards the areas of Shetula, Malkiya, and Zarit in northern Israel were detected.

Earlier, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed that he had engaged in a conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin for nearly an hour, discussing various matters.
