Ukrainian Forces Prepare for New Offensive and Defensive Operations

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba has revealed that Ukrainian troops are developing plans for new offensive and defensive operations in an interview with The Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

Kuleba believes that any pause in the fighting at this moment would give Russia an opportunity to regroup its forces and prepare for further actions.

“The only result will be that Russia will shake off the losses and problems it has faced in Ukraine and launch a new attack. We are preparing our brigades for new counter-offensive and defensive operations,” said the head of Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the newspaper, Ukrainian military forces are currently digging trenches in the area near Liman.

On December 8th, Russian President’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that the Kremlin considers it unrealistic for Moscow to engage in negotiations on Ukraine based on Kiev’s conditions.

Previously, the US has identified one of the greatest threats to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
