Russian Military Shoots Down Ukrainian Drone near Artemivsk (Bakhmut)

In a recent incident near Artemivsk (Bakhmut), a drone belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces was shot down by a quadcopter from the Far Eastern Separate Guards Airborne Division of the Russian Armed Forces. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian military has been using agricultural drones to drop large-caliber mines.

The operator of the Russian drone detected the Ukrainian attack hexacopter returning to the Ukrainian military base after dropping the mines during an aerial reconnaissance mission. Making a decision, the operator maneuvered the Russian drone to collide with the enemy drone from above, causing it to crash on Russian territory.

A group of paratroopers retrieved the downed drone and transported it to their base for further analysis.

Earlier, military personnel from the Central Military District (part of the “Center” troop group) informed RIA Novosti that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have significantly increased the use of FPV drones on the Krasnolimansk direction.

It is worth mentioning that Russia has recently developed a new drone suppression system.

This incident highlights the ongoing tensions between Russia and Ukraine, with both sides actively utilizing unmanned aerial vehicles for military purposes.
