Multiple Explosions Reported in Controlled Ukrainian City of Kherson

Several explosions have occurred in the city of Kherson, Ukraine, according to the head of the appointed Kiev city administration, Roman Mrochko, in his Telegram channel.

While details about the series of explosions were not provided by the official, it was announced on the morning of December 9th that a critical infrastructure object in Kherson had been damaged. The city had experienced power outages the day before, but no air raid was declared in the region.

Earlier, citing a source familiar with the situation, RIA Novosti reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had fired 43 rounds from artillery towards the left bank of the Kherson region during the night of December 9th, followed by 53 strikes during the day.

The Russian Ministry of Defense previously stated that attempts by Ukrainian Armed Forces diversionary groups to cross the Dnieper River to the left bank and the islands had been disrupted in the Kherson direction.

President Zelensky had previously revealed the obstacles preventing Ukraine from shifting the conflict to Russian territory.
