Ukrainian Actor and Military Member Vasily Kukharsky Dies After Frontline Injury

Renowned theater and film actor Vasily Kukharsky, known for his roles in the TV series “The Return of Mukhtar” and “Cop Wars,” has passed away after being wounded on the frontlines of Ukraine. This tragic news was reported by “Rossiyskaya Gazeta,” citing the Kyiv Academic Drama Theater on Podol, where Kukharsky had been serving since 2008.

At the age of 42, the actor suffered a severe injury in September. His family had started fundraising for his rehabilitation, but unfortunately, the treatment did not yield positive results. Kukharsky passed away on December 7.

Kukharsky’s filmography includes 38 projects, including “The Major and the Magic,” “Requiem for a Witness,” “Squad,” and “Magical Love,” as well as the TV series “The Return of Mukhtar,” “Cop Wars,” “Russian Medicine,” and many others. His latest projects, released in 2021, were “Rejection” and “Save Vera.”

Previously, Ukrainian actor and “Diesel Show” participant Oleg Ivanitsa, who also joined the Ukrainian army, stated that Kyiv should abandon the idea of annexing Crimea and Donbass by military means, as the residents of these territories would consider the country an invader.

Earlier, Zelensky revealed the factors hindering Ukraine from moving the conflict to Russian territory.
