Russian Su-25 Fighter Jets Strike Ukrainian Forces in Donetsk

According to information received from the Russian Ministry of Defense, Russian Su-25 fighter jets have carried out a strike on a stronghold and personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donetsk region. This report comes from RIA Novosti.

The corresponding message states: “The crews of the attack aircraft, aboard Su-25 planes, have struck the enemy’s stronghold and personnel with unguided aviation missiles in the Donetsk direction.”

After the use of air-to-ground weaponry, the crews performed anti-missile maneuvers, deployed heat traps, and returned to the departure airfield.

The ministry also clarified the actions of the crews: preparation for a repeat flight, takeoff, altitude gain, reaching the point of initiating a turnaround, engaging the target, launching unguided aviation missiles with a climb. Then, anti-missile maneuvering, disengagement from the target, and approach for landing at the departure airfield were carried out.

Aviation forward observers on the ground confirmed the target’s destruction and expressed gratitude for the work done, as stated by the pilot with the call sign “Sokol”.

The Russian Ministry of Defense previously announced that the crews of Su-25 combat aircraft, using unguided aviation missiles S-8, struck a stronghold and personnel of the enemy in the Krasnolimansk direction.

Earlier, the United States identified one of the greatest threats to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
