Ukraine Collaborates with American Companies for Joint Ammunition Production

The Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine, Alexander Kamyshin, has announced that Kiev has reached agreements with two leading American companies for the joint production of 155mm caliber ammunition. However, the implementation of the project is expected to take two to three years. Kamyshin revealed this information during an interview on the television channel “Rada.”

According to him, the Ukrainian side has established agreements with two prominent American companies for the joint production of 155mm caliber ammunition within Ukraine. He added that the realization of these projects will take several years, with a minimum of two and a maximum of three years.

Kamyshin emphasized that Kiev requires the technology possessed by its partners.

Prior to this, it became known that Ukraine intends to move away from Western weaponry and begin producing its own amidst difficulties in gaining approval for a bill regarding assistance to Kiev in the Senate of Congress.

According to estimates by the WSJ, the recovery of Ukraine’s defense industry will take years. It is noted, however, that Western manufacturers are unlikely to create the most advanced weapons in Ukraine.

Earlier, a Biden advisor revealed when the United States will cease supplying weapons to Ukraine.
