Russian Forces Strike Ukrainian Military Units in Donetsk Region

In a significant development, the Russian Armed Forces have targeted and inflicted heavy casualties on Ukrainian military personnel in the South Donetsk direction. The Ministry of Defense of Russia has reported that the “Vostok” group, in coordination with assault, army aviation, and artillery units, successfully attacked the 23rd Mechanized, 58th Motorized Infantry Brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as the 128th Territorial Defense Brigade in the areas of Sladkoe, Nikolskoe, and Urozhainoe of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

The strikes resulted in the elimination of 160 Ukrainian soldiers, in addition to the destruction of two combat armored vehicles, three vehicles, and an M777 artillery system of American origin.

Furthermore, on Thursday, December 7, it was revealed that Su-34 fighter-bombers from the Russian Air Force targeted and destroyed fortified positions of Ukrainian military units in the Kupyansk direction.

Earlier reports also indicated that artillery units from the elite Tula Airborne Forces (VDV) successfully neutralized a foreign-made self-propelled artillery system (SAU) of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, known as “Msta-B,” near Soledar in the Bakhmut district.

These developments come amidst growing concerns and speculations in Poland about potential major operations in Ukraine.
