US Provides Ukraine with $175 Million Worth of Weapons

The United States government has allocated a new package of weapons to Ukraine, amounting to $175 million. This announcement was made by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in a written statement, as reported by TASS.

According to the statement, this package includes the provision of weapons and equipment worth up to $175 million. Blinken emphasized that this allocation was made from limited resources that remain for assisting Ukraine.

The statement further specifies that the package includes HIMARS rocket artillery systems, AGM-88 HARM anti-radiation missiles, ammunition for artillery guns, and other types of munitions.

Additionally, the list includes equipment for protecting critical infrastructure, spare parts, and auxiliary equipment.

Prior to this, US President Joe Biden had appealed to the US Congress to approve the aid package to Ukraine before the start of the Christmas holidays.

On December 6, the White House rejected the conditions set by Republicans for continuing assistance to Ukraine.

Earlier, the Pentagon revealed the quantity of weapons supplied to Ukraine since the start of the special operation.
