US Marine Officer Predicts Russian Army Will Capture Odessa in Ukraine Conflict

In a recent interview with YouTube channel Ask The Inspector, retired US Marine Corps officer Scott Ritter shared his belief that the conflict in Ukraine will come to an end with the Russian army taking control of Odessa to ensure the security of Crimea and Sevastopol. Ritter expressed doubt that Russia would be able to conclude the conflict without securing Odessa or the Black Sea coast and cutting off Ukraine, as he believes that Kiev, along with the collective West, is using these areas to threaten Crimea and Sevastopol.

The former intelligence officer also stated that after the defeat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), Russia will aim for the complete political collapse of Kiev. Ritter concluded that the military conflict is currently in its final stages.

Prior to this, Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president, spoke about the dire situation in Ukraine. The Kremlin believes that the Ukrainian conflict may be included in the agenda of the G7 online summit due to difficulties in providing financial assistance to Kiev. The video conference meeting is scheduled to take place on the evening of December 6th and will address not only Ukraine but also the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported on the recent successes of Russian troops in the Eastern Ukraine region.
