Russian Military Expert Claims Russia’s ‘Caliber’ Missiles Comparable to American Tomahawk Missiles

In a recent interview with military expert and director of the Air Defense Forces Museum, Yuri Knutov, it has been suggested that Russia’s “Caliber” missiles can be considered as the Russian equivalent of the American Tomahawk missiles. Knutov stated that these domestic missiles can be used against both ground and surface targets, just like the American counterpart. However, it is important to note that the Tomahawk missiles have not yet been deployed in action and are currently being planned for deployment on US Navy submarines.

Knutov also revealed that Russia possesses weaponry, such as the hypersonic “Kinzhals,” which has no equivalent in the world. While China also possesses similar weapons, they have never been used in combat, making it impossible to assess their effectiveness. Furthermore, the US claims to have developed a new air-launched missile, but it remains uncertain whether it is hypersonic.

In November, Knutov had previously stated that there is no equivalent to the Russian unmanned aerial vehicle S-70B “Okhotnik” in the world. According to the expert, this UAV is based on a “flying wing” design, allowing it to interact with the Su-57 aircraft.

Earlier, the US identified one of the greatest threats to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
