Russian Law Provides Free Professional Training for Disabled Contract Soldiers

The State Duma has passed a law in its second reading regarding the right of contract soldiers recognized as disabled in combat to receive free professional training. This development was reported by TASS.

According to the publication, contract soldiers recognized as disabled in combat will be able to undergo free training in basic vocational programs or retraining programs lasting up to four months. During this period, they will continue to receive all types of benefits.

The bill was submitted to the State Duma by the Russian government and was initially approved by lawmakers in July. The amendments supplement the existing law on the status of military personnel.

On November 9th, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, announced the number of contract soldiers who have been recruited since the beginning of the year.

On September 11th, it was reported that military pensioners in Russia participating in special operations will receive full pension compensation.

Earlier, the Russian government simplified the procedure for providing compensation to the families of those killed during military service.
