Israeli Air Force Strikes Southern Lebanon in Retaliation to Rocket Attacks

In a recent escalation of tensions, the Israeli Air Force launched a drone attack on the southern regions of Lebanon. This comes in response to rocket fire originating from the territory of Jewish settlements. The strike targeted a residential house in the town of Mayss-al-Jabal, resulting in injuries to two individuals.

Earlier reports indicated that the Israeli Air Force had conducted airstrikes on the Lebanese Shi’ite group, Hezbollah. According to Israeli military sources, these strikes were carried out in retaliation for rocket launches from Lebanon towards Israeli territory on Monday. The airstrikes targeted Hezbollah’s launch sites and military infrastructure.

Additionally, in response to rocket launches from Lebanon towards the Zarit area in northern Israel, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) struck Hezbollah positions and other targets within Lebanese territory, citing the need to neutralize the threat.

Prior to these events, the IDF had also conducted airstrikes on the Palestinian city of Jabalia, located in the northern Gaza Strip.

Israeli officials have previously referred to the potential involvement of Hezbollah in a war as a “fatal mistake.”
