Russian air defense systems have successfully eliminated a total of 74 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in various regions, according to the latest announcement from the Russian Ministry of Defense. The targeted drones were shot down in areas including Sergiyevka in the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) and Gorlovka, Spornoye, and Yalynske in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).
The Russian air defense systems also detected and destroyed drones in Chubarivka and Tokmak in the Zaporizhia region, as well as in Nova Kakhovka and Ivanivka in the Kherson region.
In addition to the UAVs, the air defense systems successfully neutralized a HARM anti-radiation missile, further showcasing their effectiveness.
On the same day, the Ministry of Defense of Russia reported successfully repulsing three attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Kupyansk direction. This demonstrates the strong defense capabilities of the Russian forces.
Furthermore, Russian forces dealt a significant blow to the concentration of personnel and equipment of the AFU in the areas of Peschane, Berestove in the Kharkiv region, and Nevske. The Ukrainian side suffered heavy losses, with up to 35 soldiers confirmed dead by the defense department.
Earlier, a military expert provided insight into the strategic importance of capturing the village of Artemivske.
