Israeli Army Advances into Khan Yunis, Gaza Strip

The Israeli army has announced that its forces have reached the center of Khan Yunis, the largest city in the southern Gaza Strip. This development comes after a representative of the radical group “Islamic Jihad” (which is banned in Russia) stated to the Lebanese channel Al Manar that the Israeli Air Force has carried out dozens of airstrikes against Palestinian formations defending the approaches to Khan Yunis, located 20 kilometers southwest of the city of Gaza.

On December 1st, the Israel Defense Forces reported that after 7:00 Moscow time on that day, Hamas struck more than 200 targets in the Gaza Strip.

It has also been revealed that Israeli authorities are considering the possibility of flooding the underground tunnel system, believed by Israeli military officials to be hiding Hamas fighters, with seawater.

Earlier, the methods employed by Israel in its fight against Hamas were criticized in the British parliament.
