Ukrainian armed forces are currently making efforts to break through the defense of Russian troops near the city of Artemivsk, also known as Bakhmut. This information was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the commander of the “MSTA-B” howitzer unit of the 150th division of the Southern Military District, with the call sign “Boroda”.
On the evening of December 3rd, military correspondent Boris Rozhin stated that Russian armed forces had occupied positions held by the Ukrainian Armed Forces since the spring near Artemivsk.
“They are constantly trying to break through, but they are not succeeding and will not succeed,” said the Russian military, as reported by the agency.
Prior to this, RIA Novosti, citing the Russian Ministry of Defense, reported the surrender of Ukrainian soldiers in captivity in the Artemivsk direction. According to the ministry’s information, Russian paratroopers “penetrated” the defense system of the Ukrainian forces in the village of Artemivske and its approaches during reconnaissance operations.
The demoralization of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, according to the department, was caused by precise strikes on identified strongholds and artillery positions.
Earlier, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that Russia has an advantage in the use of FPV drones.
