Russian President Vladimir Putin to Attend Volunteer of the Year Ceremony

Moscow, December 4 – Russian President Vladimir Putin will participate in the Volunteer of the Year award ceremony, according to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov. “Today, the President will take part in the ceremony to honor the winner of the 2023 Volunteer of the Year award, as part of the international ‘We Together’ prize. This event will take place at VDNH exhibition center, where the President will also visit an exhibition,” said the Kremlin representative. The international forum on civic participation, known as ‘We Together,’ is being held at the Russia exhibition forum from December 4 to 7. Additionally, today Putin will conduct a video conference meeting of the Human Rights Council. Peskov emphasized that the President’s speech is expected to cover various topics, including the progress made on the Council’s recommendations, support for military personnel and volunteers involved in the Special Operations Forces, as well as their families, the issue of the suppression of Russian-speaking population in European Union countries, the development of school education, the provision of accessible medical assistance to the homeless and undocumented individuals, and the problems within the criminal justice system. The meeting is dedicated to International Human Rights Day.
