In a significant development, the Russian military has reportedly captured a US Bradley infantry fighting vehicle as a trophy for the first time. According to military expert Yuri Knutov, director of the Air Defense Forces Museum, this presents an opportunity for Russian forces to study the vehicle’s layout, component systems, and even adopt certain technical solutions for use in the Russian Armed Forces.
Knutov emphasized the importance of the original technological solutions found in the Bradley that could be beneficial for Russia. He stated that these solutions could be copied and applied to their own armored vehicles, providing a significant advantage.
However, Knutov also noted that Russian military forces have already become adept at countering the American machine, suggesting they have developed effective strategies to neutralize its capabilities.
Previously, the commander of the “Osman” special forces unit under the Russian Ministry of Defense, known by his call sign “Metis,” stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces faced difficulties when using Western-made armored vehicles, including the Bradley, in the Zaporizhia region due to challenging weather conditions and difficult terrain.
It is worth mentioning that the United Nations had earlier reported that Russia had turned Ukraine into the largest minefield in history.
