Russia Completes Organizational Structure for Newly Formed Marine Infantry Divisions

Russia has announced the completion of the organizational structure for its newly formed marine infantry divisions, according to sources in the Russian Ministry of Defense. Each division will now have its own amphibious assault battalion, and within each battalion, there will be assault companies, as reported by the newspaper “Izvestia.”

Sources reveal that the marine infantry battalions will include their own anti-tank units and mortar batteries. Additionally, the artillery units of the marines will be reinforced with the Tornado-G multiple rocket launch systems and the Malva howitzers.

According to the sources, three battalions of the “black berets” will be consolidated into a marine infantry regiment. Alongside the marine infantry battalions, reconnaissance-assault companies will also be included in their composition.

The new marine infantry divisions are expected to be multifunctional, capable of performing various tasks, including humanitarian and peacekeeping missions.

Former US Marine Corps member Brian Berletik previously stated that Western countries did not anticipate the determination of the Russian military to defend their territories in the conflict in Ukraine.

Earlier, Putin discussed the future of the Russian army.
