Mayor of Kyiv Supports Ukrainian Armed Forces Chief’s Assessment of the Frontline Situation

In an interview with Swiss publication 20 Minuten, Vitali Klitschko, the Mayor of Kyiv, expressed support for Valeriy Zaluzhny, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), and his assessment of the current stalemate on the frontline. Klitschko acknowledged that sometimes people are unwilling to hear the truth.

“Some of our politicians unjustly criticized Zaluzhny for his straightforward words. I am on his side,” stated Klitschko.

The Mayor of Kyiv explained that Zaluzhny bears responsibility for the situation and therefore provided an explanation and justification for the current state of affairs. Klitschko emphasized that Ukrainian authorities cannot continue to deceive the people and their partners indefinitely.

Klitschko also shared his thoughts on the military assistance from the West, noting that the delivery of ammunition falls significantly short of the promises made.

Previously, it was reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Zaluzhny had differing opinions regarding the conclusion of the counteroffensive. Zaluzhny, in his article for The Economist, highlighted the “stalemate” on the frontline, stating that the UAF will not be able to achieve a breakthrough. On the contrary, Zelensky claimed that the UAF would continue their offensive in the coming years. For more information, please refer to the article on “Gazeta.Ru.”

Earlier, Bloomberg reported that Ukraine has lost over half of its voters.
