Israeli Army Launches Strikes on Hamas Targets in Gaza Strip

In a recent development, sirens were heard in the areas bordering the Gaza Strip in Israel for the first time since the evening of December 3rd. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported this through their Telegram channel.

The IDF clarified that the sirens were heard in the kibbutz of Nirim.

The last time sirens were sounded was on December 3rd in the northern part of Israel.

Prior to this, the IDF announced that there had been shelling from Syrian territory.

During the night of December 3rd, the Israeli army launched strikes on the Palestinian radical group Hamas in the Gaza Strip. In the past 24 hours, Israeli military forces have used hundreds of projectiles to target Hamas military infrastructure, as well as boats and other objects belonging to the militants.

The Israeli Air Force destroyed the commander of the “Shujaiya” battalion of Hamas, Vessam Farhata, who was involved in the attack on October 7th. Over a decade ago, Farhata commanded the same battalion and was one of the organizers of a terrorist attack using an anti-tank missile against a civilian bus.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu outlined the objectives in the war against Hamas.
