In a concerning trend, incidents of violence against Jewish and Muslim individuals in America have been on the rise. Recent attacks in New York City have highlighted the urgent need for action to address this issue. Police are now seeking the public’s help in identifying three individuals wanted in connection with three separate assaults that took place within an hour.
The first attack occurred around 3:25 p.m. when a 40-year-old man was walking home from the Synagogue in the vicinity of East 15th Street and Avenue L. He was approached by three strangers who assaulted him and then fled on a scooter. Although the man sustained minor injuries, he declined medical attention.
Approximately 30 minutes later, a 15-year-old boy was targeted near Avenue J and East 17th Street. Three strangers attacked him, causing minor injuries before fleeing on foot. Similar to the first incident, the victim refused medical attention.
At 4:04 p.m., a 27-year-old man was walking near East 18th Street and Avenue L when he was approached by the same group of three strangers. They kicked him before escaping on foot. Once again, the victim sustained minor injuries but did not seek medical treatment.
The victims’ identities have not been disclosed by the police, and it remains unclear if they shared any common characteristics. The New York City Police Department’s Hate Crimes Task Force is currently investigating all three incidents.
Authorities have released photos of the alleged suspects and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
