Four Policemen Killed in Ukrainian Army Shelling of Police Department in Kherson Region

GENICHESK, Nov 29 – Four policemen were killed in the shelling of the police department building in the Kherson region by the Ukrainian army’s Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) HIMARS, according to a source familiar with the situation. “Four policemen were killed on the spot, and 18 people were injured as a result of the shelling of the Novokakhovskiy police department building in the village of Yubileyniy by the HIMARS reactive fire system yesterday morning,” the source clarified.

Five people with severe injuries were hospitalized, while others received on-site assistance. The Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out strikes on the Kherson region throughout Tuesday. Over 60 projectiles were fired from artillery in various towns and villages in the region. The majority of the shelling occurred in Krin’ky, with 37 “hits”. Shelling incidents were also recorded in Aleshki, Sagah, Kardashinka, and Golaya Pristan. One civilian was killed during the night attacks.

The American HIMARS MLRS, provided to Ukraine, fires 227-millimeter rockets with a range of approximately 80 kilometers. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the transfer of long-range artillery to Kyiv would result in civilian casualties.
