Russian Security Forces Uncover Cache of Weapons and Ammunition in Luhansk People’s Republic

Russian security forces have discovered a hidden cache of weapons and ammunition belonging to saboteurs in the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR). The find was reported on the official website of the security agency.

According to the press service, the cache was found in the Lutugino district following information received from reconnaissance units.

Experts seized over 300 rounds of ammunition for various firearms, a handheld anti-tank grenade launcher, a rocket projectile from the BM-21 “Grad” multiple rocket launcher system, a shot for a Bulgarian OGi-7MA grenade launcher, as well as various grenades.

Prior to this, law enforcement officers arrested a resident of Kazan on suspicion of planning multiple terrorist acts and sabotage in the territory of Tatarstan. During the interrogation, the man confessed that he intended to set fire to military equipment at the Kazan Tank School and carry out several explosions on the railway.

The 30-year-old suspect also showed law enforcement officers a hidden stash containing 17 bottles of kerosene, which he had personally equipped in the forest.

Earlier in the Kaliningrad region, customs officers found three thousand rounds of ammunition in the trunk of a foreign car.
