Russian Forces Thwart Ukrainian Troop Rotation, Claims Russian Military Spokesperson

In a recent development, the head of the press center for the Russian military group “Zapad,” Sergey Zybinsky, has announced to RIA Novosti that Russian armed forces have successfully prevented the rotation of a Ukrainian military brigade in the Kupyansk direction.

According to Zybinsky, during active defense operations, motorized infantry units from the 6th Combined Arms Army, supported by artillery fire, repelled two counterattacks by assault groups from the 57th Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) towards the villages of Sinkovka and Liman Pervyy. Additionally, in the defensive zone of the 1st Tank Army, the rotation attempt of personnel from the 43rd Mechanized Brigade towards the front positions in the direction of Ivanovka and Yagodnoye was disrupted by artillery fire from the Russian group.

Zybinsky further stated that during counter-battery warfare, the Russian group’s artillery destroyed a 122-mm self-propelled artillery unit, the 2S-1 “Gvozdika,” and a mortar team from the UAF in the areas of Kolesnikovka and Kislovka.

On November 27, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the drone kamikaze units of the “Zapad” military group had destroyed temporary deployment points and strongholds of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kupyansk direction.

Last week, retired Lieutenant Colonel of the people’s militia of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR) and military expert Andrey Marochko reported that the UAF was facing logistical problems near Kupyansk.

Earlier, one of the greatest threats to the Ukrainian Armed Forces was identified in the United States.
