On November 27, at approximately 9:30 AM (MSK), an attempt by Ukraine to carry out a terrorist attack using a unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of aircraft type on Russian territory was thwarted. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported this incident on its Telegram channel.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Ukrainian UAV was destroyed by air defense systems over the Rostov region.
The day before, the Governor of the Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, announced that an unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down in the Kamensky district of the region at 9:30 AM (MSK).
In the evening of November 26, air defense systems in the Smolensk region shot down a Ukrainian drone. According to information from the Telegram channel Mash, the drone was heading towards the aviation plant in the Zadneprovsky district.
Earlier in November, two drones were neutralized in the Voronezh region. According to the head of the region, Alexander Gusev, there were no casualties or damage on the ground when the drones crashed. The governor reminded local residents not to remove or post videos and photos of drones on social media if they come across them.
Previously, there were reports that unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with flamethrowers would be deployed in the Russian Armed Forces.
