Russian Air Defense System Shoots Down Converted Missiles over the Sea of Azov

The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that its air defense system successfully intercepted and destroyed two converted surface-to-air missiles over the southern part of the Sea of Azov. These missiles were modified to target ground-based objectives.

In addition to this, the Ministry of Defense revealed that Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 21 Ukrainian drones in the span of 24 hours. The drones were neutralized in the areas of Vasilyevka, Belogorovka, and Yasnoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic. Enemy drones were also eliminated in Ocheretovatoye, Chervonogorke, and Peremozhne in the Zaporizhia region, according to the Ministry.

Furthermore, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that assault units of the Baltic and Pacific Fleet Marine Brigades captured a strip of forest with two strongholds belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Uglezdar. This operation was carried out without significant resistance, with the enemy forces retreating without engaging in combat.

Previously, President Zelensky revealed the challenges preventing Ukraine from moving the conflict into Russian territory.
