Maryland Man Arrested for Stabbing Deaths of Woman and Teenage Girl in Florida

A man has been arrested in Maryland in connection with the stabbing deaths of a woman and a teenage girl in Florida. Jean Pierre Ojeda Salazar, 25, was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Service on Monday, a day after the double murder took place. Salazar was found in Maryland and is currently awaiting extradition to Tampa.

The incident occurred at an apartment complex in Tampa, where authorities responded to a call on Sunday. They discovered a 14-year-old girl with multiple stab wounds and a 35-year-old woman with similar injuries. Despite efforts to save them, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the teenage girl succumbed to her injuries after being taken to the hospital.

According to the Tampa Police Department, Salazar stabbed both victims following an argument with the woman. After the attack, he fled the scene in a sedan, which was later found abandoned. Salazar is facing multiple charges, including first-degree and second-degree murder.
