Russian Defense Forces Successfully Shoot Down Ukrainian Drones over Central Regions

In a recent statement released by the Russian Ministry of Defense on their official Telegram channel, it was revealed that their air defense systems successfully shot down nine Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the territory of four regions in the Central Federal District of Russia. The regions mentioned were Moscow, Tula, Kaluga, and Bryansk.

The Ministry’s statement also mentioned that prior to this incident, their air defense systems had already intercepted and destroyed 11 Ukrainian UAVs over the same four regions. This highlights the continuous efforts made by the Russian defense forces to protect their airspace.

Adding to the series of successful interceptions, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that the city’s air defense systems prevented a mass drone attack in the Narofominsk and Odintsovo districts during the night of November 26. Mayor Sobyanin further reported another Ukrainian drone being shot down near Podolsk, a city district near Moscow. Shortly after, he confirmed that yet another attempted drone attack on Moscow was successfully repelled, with one UAV being shot down over Ramenskoye.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense had already disclosed the number of Ukrainian UAVs shot down by Russian forces.
