Russia Calls for Destruction of Drone Assembly Sites in Response to Attacks

In a recent interview with “Lenta.ru,” Yuri Shvytkin, the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee, expressed his belief that Russia should destroy the assembly and production sites of drones in response to attacks on its territory. Shvytkin emphasized the need for Russia to engage in constant and intense struggle against unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), targeting both their bases and assembly locations.

He stated, “Our air defense and electronic warfare systems are successfully carrying out their work. They are doing everything possible to prevent damage to our infrastructure and the residents of our country.”

According to the deputy, it is necessary to “do everything possible to preempt attacks from their side.”

Shvytkin believes that the aim of such attacks by Ukraine is to sow panic among Russian citizens and inflict damage on military and civilian infrastructure.

Previously, Grigory Karasin, the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, linked the mass attack by Ukrainian UAVs in Russian regions to the impasse in the armed forces of Ukraine in “real combat affairs” and the deepening confusion within Zelensky’s structures.

The number of downed drones in Russian regions has now increased to 24.
