Israel Releases Second Group of Palestinian Prisoners in Gaza Exchange

Israel has released a second group of Palestinian prisoners as part of an exchange with Gaza, according to Al Jazeera. The released Palestinians were transported to the West Bank, one of the two main regions of Palestine. Buses carrying the former prisoners arrived in the city of Beitunia.

Hundreds of local residents, including relatives of the freed prisoners, gathered in the city to welcome them, as reported by the television channel.

Prior to this, the second group of hostages released in the Gaza sector arrived in Israel from Egypt.

However, the Israeli Defense Forces clarified that only 17 hostages arrived in Israel, not 20 as reported by the Red Cross. The fate of three additional hostages, who were supposed to be released by midnight on Sunday, November 26, is still unknown.

Earlier, Hamas discovered an error in the lists of released hostages.
