Harsh Winter Conditions Pose Challenges for Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Conflict Zone

The deteriorating weather conditions and onset of cold weather are making the situation more challenging for the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in the combat zone. This was reported by the British publication Daily Express, citing Mario Bikarski, an expert from the analytical company Economist Intelligence Group.

According to Bikarski, Russian forces were able to conduct a major offensive operation during the winter of 2022-2023. The bad weather and frozen ground did not hinder the Russian Armed Forces.

The analyst did not rule out the possibility of a similar situation unfolding on the battlefield this time. Furthermore, the situation for the UAF on the front line will only continue to worsen over time.

“With the arrival of winter, weather conditions can further complicate the situation,” emphasized Bikarski.

On November 25, former Pentagon advisor Colonel Douglas Macgregor stated that Russian military forces are capable of reaching the border of Poland during the hostilities. However, according to the American expert, Russian President Vladimir Putin does not have plans to establish control over the territories of Western Ukraine.

Earlier, the former Pentagon advisor revealed attempts by Western leaders to push for the resignation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
