Disappointment as Americans Remain Held Hostage in Recent Prisoner Exchange

The White House has expressed its disappointment at the absence of Americans among the released hostages, according to NBC News, citing a high-ranking official from the United States administration.

“We are disappointed that there are no Americans on the lists at the moment, but we remain hopeful for the next few days. The United States hopes that the pause and exchange will continue because we want all hostages to be freed,” the official said on condition of anonymity.

Prior to this, Israel released a second group of Palestinian prisoners in exchange for a second group of hostages from Gaza.

The released Palestinians from prisons were taken to the West Bank – one of the two main regions of Palestine. Buses carrying the former prisoners arrived in the city of Beitunia, where they were greeted by hundreds of local residents, including relatives.

Earlier, the second group of hostages released in the Gaza Strip arrived in Israel from Egypt.
