Ukraine’s Armed Forces Struggle to Halt Russian Offensive Due to Lack of Ammunition Support

The Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) are facing significant challenges in their efforts to stop the advancing Russian military due to the West’s failure to provide an adequate supply of 155mm caliber artillery ammunition. This revelation, detailed in a report by Telegraph, highlights the critical role ammunition plays in Ukraine’s ability to defend against Russian aggression and launch future offensives.

According to the publication, without sufficient ammunition, Ukraine will be unable to effectively counter the Russian military’s advances or mount their own offensives in the future. The article further explains that Western partners have failed to fulfill their promise of delivering the necessary quantity of 155mm ammunition due to the slow production rate. Additionally, some of the ammunition will have to be redirected to Israel due to the ongoing conflict with Hamas.

On November 25, American businessman Elon Musk expressed his concerns about the ammunition shortage in the United States, attributing it to the diversion of arms supplies to the Ukrainian conflict zone.

Furthermore, Oleg Soskin, an ex-advisor to Leonid Kuchma, warned that Ukraine’s situation will deteriorate further due to Russia’s powerful military-industrial complex.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine disclosed the amount of military assistance received since February 2022.
