Moscow, November 25 – Russian military forces have disrupted the advancement of a Ukrainian infantry group in the southern direction of Donbass and foiled two attempts to rotate units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), according to Oleg Chekhov, the head of the press center of the “Vostok” group. “On the southern direction of Donbass, units of the ‘Vostok’ task force, with artillery support, prevented the advancement of an enemy infantry group in the area north of Nikol’skoye. The group was eliminated. Two attempts to rotate AFU units in the areas of Urozhaynoye and northern Pavlovka were intercepted. Motor vehicles and personnel were destroyed,” the military official noted. The source also reported the destruction of a grenade launcher team, a vehicle, six long-range firing positions, and approximately 25 enemy soldiers with the help of strike unmanned aerial vehicles. In addition, aviation and artillery struck the 79th Airborne Assault, 58th Motorized Infantry, and 127th Teroborona Brigade units of the AFU in the areas of Novomykhailivka, Konstantinivka, Novodonetsk, Urozhayne, Staromayorske, Makarivka, and Novopolya in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). “The total losses of the enemy amounted to up to 65 militants killed and wounded, two vehicles, and an ammunition depot. During counter-battery warfare, the enemy lost five mortar crews,” concluded the head of the press center. On Friday, the Ministry of Defense reported that over the course of a week, more than 625 AFU servicemen were lost on this front.
