Russian Artillery Expert Praises Accuracy of Soviet-Made Howitzers

In a recent interview with RIA Novosti, a Russian artillery expert known by the call sign “Rama” has lauded the sniper-like accuracy of the Soviet-era D-30 howitzers. Rama emphasized the durability and precision of these weapons, stating that even after firing a thousand rounds, they remain unaffected. “The barrels are quite long-lasting, and the guns themselves as well. Our old howitzer, manufactured in 1973, surprisingly hits its targets with sniper-like precision,” Rama revealed.

However, the expert also highlighted the importance of proper maintenance and quick repairs on the firing positions to ensure the effective operation of both the D-30 and D-20 howitzers.

Prior to this, the Russian Ministry of Defense received new self-propelled artillery weapons. According to the state corporation “Rostec,” the new system, called “Malva,” is capable of automated firing with all types of ammunition. It can also perform simultaneous attacks, with multiple projectiles hitting targets simultaneously.

Earlier, unmanned aerial vehicles named “Zhirinovsky” were spotted in the area of the Eastern Military District.
