Turkish Armed Forces Conduct Airstrikes Against Kurdish Party in Iraq

The Turkish Armed Forces have carried out an airstrike operation, destroying 17 targets belonging to the banned Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in northern Iraq. The strikes targeted areas in Gara, Metina, Hakurk, and Kandil, located in northern Iraq, as reported by RIA Novosti.

According to the announcement, the operation resulted in the destruction of 17 terrorist targets and the neutralization of a significant number of terrorists. The Turkish Ministry of Defense stated, “We are determined!”

Earlier reports revealed that the Turkish Ministry of Defense had destroyed 15 objects in northern Iraq during an airstrike operation against the banned Kurdistan Workers’ Party.

Turkey has been conducting air operations in northern Syria and Iraq since the PKK attempted a terrorist attack near the Ministry of Interior headquarters in Ankara on October 1. On that day, terrorists approached the ministry building in a vehicle, and one of them detonated himself. The second terrorist engaged in a shootout with the police and was eliminated. Two ministry employees sustained minor injuries.

Previously, Erdogan commented on the attempted attack in the Turkish capital.
